Fun paper puppet to make with the kids!
I’m late for Chinese New Year but I did mange to get this one ready in time for ‘Family Day’ fun here in Canada. I have been working on a series of printable crafts for families. This paper puppet was designed one for my sister-in-law to take on a teaching trip to China this week. I thought some of you might enjoy making them with the kids. They can add other decorations and then put on a puppet show for you. I have several other animals in the works so watch for new critters soon! NOTE: all artwork on this site is my own.
Materials: printer, card stock or any heavy weight paper, scissors, mini brad fasteners, a large darning needle, thin metal crochet hook or nail etc to poke the holes. Hole punches are too large for these.
Print the PDF from the download below. Cut the shapes out and poke holes where the small circles are printed. Place any darker coloured legs on the back side. Fasten with one of these tiny fasteners. Tape a stick on the back to use for a puppet show. Craft stores sells tons of different fasteners. I found some that look like buttons. So cute!
Hope you enjoy making these! Please share with me on instagram @dianelabombarbe.
